Collective Voices, Stronger Impact
In October 2025, Darcy Dion, BCWWA and EOCP Board Member and Technical Sales Representative at McWane Canada, had the opportunity to attend the Water Supply Association of BC Conference in Osoyoos. A first-timer to the conference, Darcy shares her experiences and where she sees all three organizations, WSABC, EOCP and BCWWA sharing key priorities and initiatives on behalf of this sector.
Building Futures Behind the Fence
Turning incarceration into certification. Mike Hewitt shares how the team at Almaquin Enterprises collaborated with a class 3 wastewater treatment plant at the William Head Correctional Institution in Metchosin, BC, to provide inmates with wastewater operations training using practical, hands-on skills.
2025 was an exciting year for BCWWA’s annual Student Design Competition. Team StormWise Innovations charted a course of victory, nabbing first place at the BCWWA and WEFTEC competitions with their winning stormwater management solution. Watermark spoke with the team to learn more about their project and experience presenting on an international stage.
