Outreach
Throughout the history of the BC Water & Waste Association (BCWWA), public engagement and outreach have been part of the Association’s service delivery and advocacy programming. There have been many iterations and forms of engagement over the years, from collaborating with key stakeholders and organizations who work with water to educating generations of water users about the true value of our water.
As we enter our 2025-2027 Strategic Plan cycle, outreach and engagement remain important to our work and are recognized within our Advocacy priority. This priority sees our members as ambassadors for the One Water sector and aims to support member engagement efforts within their own communities. This includes sharing research and information relevant to the sector and creating opportunities for connection and dialogue with key decision-makers, government staff and regulators.
A Network of Support
At the BCWWA, we recognize that the work of our members does not happen in isolation. In fact, the concept of a “One Water” sector helps us understand that water management is inherently integrated and interconnected with the communities, environment and systems it serves. While this means there are many uses, it also signals a larger global network of water sector partners with which we can connect and share resources.
If you use water and water is important to your organization, business or operations – we want to hear from you!
