Cassidy Stadel Selected to Attend 2026 YP Summit

December 15, 2025

The BCWWA is pleased to select Cassidy Stadel, a utility planning engineer at the City of Coquitlam, as the recipient of the 2026 YP Summit Award!

Cassidy will attend the 2026 Water Environment Federation (WEF) and American Water Works Association (AWWA) Young Professionals Summit in Charlotte, North Carolina, from March 22-24, 2026.

The AWWA/WEF Young Professionals Summit brings together emerging leaders and students from across North America in water-related roles to develop their networks, build on their training and join the conversation about working in the water sector. This sponsorship by the BCWWA supports one BCWWA representative to travel to and attend the Summit.

Meet Cassidy Stadel

Cassidy Stadel is the utility planning engineer for the City of Coquitlam, where she leads the City’s Inflow & Infiltration program and contributes to a range of utility initiatives, including hydraulic modelling, flow monitoring, capital planning, and water quality projects. Before joining Coquitlam, Cassidy worked at the City of Vancouver, focusing on development reviews, sewer modelling and combined sewer overflow mitigation. Now a new Coquitlam resident, Cassidy lives with her pampered cat, Donut. She values opportunities to connect with peers and is excited to attend the YP Summit. Cassidy looks forward to learning from other young professionals and strengthening her ability to support her community.

Congratulations, Cassidy! We look forward to learning more about your experiences and takeaways following the Summit!
